LaBron Reeves Obituary

LaBron Nathaniel Reeves was born on April 8, 1944 to the late Annie Laura Evans Reeves (Chattanooga) and Archie David Reeves Sr. ( Alabama). At the age of 75, he made his transition from this Earthly life into eternal life with Christ on Friday May 31st 2019.

He graduated from Howard High School class of 1963 where he excelled in academics, basketball and other school activities and then went to Tennessee State University where he majored in Business. He was a social activist during the 60's participating in Dr. Martin Luther Kings sit-ins in public restaurants in Chattanooga and Nashville TN. He had a distinguished 20+ year career at TN Volunteer Ammunition Plant serving as Plant Manager for a number of years and then went into private business upon the plant closure.. He married and had four children, Kevin, Katovia, Korey and Kerric by his first wife, Mary Ross.

LaBron was smart, direct, a bit mischievous, fun loving and yet a no nonsense kind of guy. He had a spirit of love and selfless giving. Deeply loyal with a big generous heart to his family, friends and to those he saw in need. He made his confession early in life to Jesus Christ and his love for Jesus deepen as the years passed taking him into the fullness of the meaning of Nathaniel, God has given. He was a gift God gave to us, sharing freely with what he had, practicing Jesus’ principle for us to love one another.

He leaves to cherish and celebrate his life, his wife Amecia Lynn Reeves and daughter, Sonata Leek of Chicago. His son Korey of Chattanooga and daughter, Katovia, and sons, Kevin, and Kerric of California. His sisters Marie R. Cook, Yvonne Reeves and brother Archie D. Reeves Jr of Chattanooga and sisters Celeste Reeves Gosier and Mona Reeves-Winfrey of Memphis, four grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
